Our thing we decided right from day one was to meet at a local Brewery-Steele Street Brewing, 300 S. Steele St, Ionia, MI. We like to read, chat, think about what's going on with ourselves and the world around us and have some sustenance. So, what do we do when we are not able to do what we love; when the world is dealing with some pretty serious stuff that you could really use a good think and a chat about?
The decision was made to take all of our meetings online until it is safe for everyone to meet back at the Brewery . It obviously wasn't ideal and it wasn't going to be pretty. We are a diverse bunch representing all ages, backgrounds and, shall we say, levels of technical competence. But as much as we needed our monthly trip to the pub, we needed our support network and our monthly book chat even more. Since COVID-19 everyone has a favorite video conferencing platform - for us the easiest was ZOOM.
